Removal Frequently Asked Questions
Shaving
- Total Shaving Solution
How
should I use Total Shaving Solution to wet shave?
Generously
wet area to be shaved.
Apply three drops to wet palms and massage into the shaving area.
Wet area again, rinse razor and shave.
Keep shaving area very wet and rinse razor often.
Always start shaving "with the grain", i.e. downwards
, following the direction in which the hairs grow. That way you
help to reduce irritation.
For an even closer shave, after you have shaved with the grain,
you can then shave very lightly against the grain (upwards) to finish
off the task. But be careful, this can be an extremely sensitive
operation, so be gentle at all times and let your razor do the work,
not the pressure of your hand.
For an extra smooth finish, you can apply just 1 drop of Total Shaving
Solution onto your wet face and massage gently. See how the
single drop travels all over your face and enhances the smooth texture
of your skin. Now your skin feels cool, clean and refreshed and
you're ready with confidence to face the world.
How should I use Total Shaving Solution to dry (electric)
shave?
Apply
no more than 3 drops to dry palms and massage into the shaving area.
Wait for 30 seconds and shave.
When is the best time to shave?
It
is always best to shave after rather than before you shower. The
hot water helps to soften the hairs, making them stand up and thus
easier to shave.
Always use hot water when shaving. As well as softening the hairs
it cleanses the skin and reduces friction.
Why use a shaving oil rather than a gel or aerosol?
When
dispensed, the pressure in the can causes the product to be very
cold. This coldness causes the beard hairs to toughen, the skin
to tighten and thus makes it even more difficult to shave comfortably.
When you use natural oils instead of foams or gels, the skin is
more lubricated and this allows the razor to glide over the skin
without having to apply any pressure. Thus you end up cutting the
hairs without cutting the skin, precisely what you set out to do
in the first place!
Naturally, we always recommend you use Total Shaving Solution
because it is 100% natural and helps to eliminate shaving irritation
like nicks, cuts and razor burn.
How many drops of Total Shaving Solution do I need per
shave?
No
more than 3 drops per wet shave and 2 if you use an electric razor.
How
come you only need 3 drops?
Because
the natural oil is concentrated, a little goes a long way! And after
you become accustomed to using just 3 drops, you'll see for yourself
that that's all you need.
Do
you use any water if using Total Shaving Solution with an
electric razor?
No
water is needed if using an electric razor. All you need to do is
apply 2 drops to your dry palms, then massage onto your skin, wait
30 seconds and shave.
Why
do you recommend using plenty of water for wet shaving?
It
is essential you keep the skin wet at all times when using Total
Shaving Solution as the water "activates" the natural
oils and helps the razor to glide over the skin and cut the hairs
without cutting the skin.
Do
you recommend any particular brand of razor?
What
razor you use is entirely up to you. Always make sure you change
the blades regularly, as a clean sharp blade gives the best results.
Will
the blades get clogged as a result of the oil being used?
Some
people report that the razor blades get clogged, but this means
they are not applying sufficient water to the skin and not rinsing
the razor enough. We always recommend you rinse the razor often
and this has a twofold effect: firstly it unclogs the debris from
the blades and secondly it carries more water onto the surface of
the skin.
Is
there any perfume in Total Shaving Solution?
Absolutely
not, the ingredients are 100% natural with no added perfume.
Will
the small 10 ml. bottle really give you 90 shaves?
Yes!
In fact each 10 ml. bottle is filled to 100 shaves, so you should
get at least 90 shaves per bottle based on 3 drops per shave
Do
you give a 100% money back guarantee?
Yes
we do, because we believe Total Shaving Solution gives you
the closest, cleanest, smoothest shave ever when used properly.
And if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with the results,
all you have to do is send us back the bottle and we will give you
a full refund.
Should
you dry your face after shaving with Total Shaving Solution?
You
can of course dry your face with a towel, or better still just pat
it dry. However for really terrific results, while your face is
still wet, apply just 1 drop of Total Shaving Solution to
your wet skin and massage in gently. You will notice how the natural
oils penetrate your skin leaving it unbelievably smooth and protected
for hours. The moisturising effect of Total Shaving Solution
conditions your skin naturally, leaving no outward signs of having
applied a moisturiser, and leaving your skin nice and cool.
Sugaring
- MOOM
Will
it hurt?
Any
method of hair removal where hair is removed with the root is going
to cause discomfort. It is only a question of degrees. Because of
its precise adhesion level, MOOM® will only cling to the hair
and dead skin cells. You will feel the hair being removed. However,
MOOM® will not stick tenaciously to your skin and remove layers
of skin along with the hair.
Where
can I use it?
MOOM®
can be used on face, underarms, legs, bikini area, arms, back, stomach
and chest.
Will
the hair grow back coarser and darker?
No.
Unlike shaving and depilatory creams which strengthen the root by
cutting the hair at the surface, MOOM® removes the hair from
the root, thus discouraging hair growth.
Can
my daughter use it?
We
have a special product for teens called Miss MOOM®. It contains
Aloe Vera and is so gentle and natural that it is perfect for sensitive
skin. However, before you start any hair removal process, we recommend
that you consult with your physician.
Can
men use it?
Yes.
MOOM® is so effective that it will remove even coarse male hair.
In fact, many of MOOM®s users are male body builders and
athletes.
Do
I need to apply any type of product before or after using MOOM®?
No.
MOOM®s exclusive formula takes care of everything. All
you need to do is wash the area with warm water, dry completely
and use MOOM as directed. MOOM leaves you with silky smooth skin
for weeks. In fact, the skin feels so unbelievably soft you will
not want to put any lotions on.

Waxing
Surgi
If
youre having trouble removing the hair its likely one
of the following:
The hair is too short. Hair should be at least 2.5mm long to wax.
The wax strip was pulled off too slowly or in the wrong direction.
The wax strip was not applied immediately after wax application
and rubbed firmly for 3-4 seconds in the direction of hair growth.
Too
much wax was applied.
Instructions
For better wax adhesion, lightly dust the area with talcum powder
to absorb any excess oil or moisture on the skin before eplilation.
Slight irritation is normal after any waxing session, but swollen,
discolored or irritated skin could be the result of poor technique.
When pulling off the wax strip, hold the skin taut and pull the
wax strip off parallel to the skin. If your client experiences discomfort,
apply gentle pressure to the area with your fingertips. Ice also
works to decrease sensitivity.
Make sure the wax is at the correct temperature too hot will
burn you/your client, and too cold will cause the muslin strip to
rip or not adhere properly to the wax.
Avoid wearing tight clothing over newly waxed areas. To minimize
the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs, Exfoliate the skin 24
to 48 hours after the waxing session to prevent the build up of
dead skin cells (which will result in ingrown hairs.)
Do not expose newly waxed areas to the sun for at least 48 hours
after treatment. A good sun block is also recommend to protect the
skin.
Skin tends to be more sensitive right before and right after your
menstrual cycle, waxing can be more painful. Try to avoid scheduling
waxing sessions 3-4 days before and 3-4 days after your period.
